GENERAL WEDDING INFORMATION
  • Bride and Groom are required to arrive at the Resort three (3) business days prior to the ceremony
  • Administrative / Government fee of $500.00 will be applied to all civil ceremonies performed by a justice of the peace in addition to package cost.
  • Catholic Administrative fee of $500.00 will be applied to all Catholic ceremonies performed by a Catholic Priest in addition to package cost. Catholic weddings are performed in English.
  • Complimentary Package does not apply if requested onsite. Complementary Package can be reserved within one month prior the ceremony date.
  • Symbolic weddings are not legally binding ceremonies.
  • Depending on selection of requested flowers, additional costs may apply. Please note our onsite flower selection highly depends on the time of year as well as our weekly floral imports. Certain flowers may not be available.
  • Couples will be able to open their Bridal Registry once the wedding has been confirmed. Within the Registry, couples may choose from flowers, wedding decor, tours, golf and spa treatments for the celebration to follow. Couples will be able to provide their Bridal Registry link to all their guests. Couples may also personalize their own wedding site uploading their engagement pictures, favorite songs and many more.
  • Wedding cake included in our collections will be for 30 persons. Extra charge will be applied for each additional person.
  • In the case of inclement weather, certain services will not be extended. No credits will be adjusted.
  • Four bottles of champagne are included in all wedding collections.
  • Entretainment and Musician selection is subject to availability.
  • Décor included in the wedding collections will be extended exclusively for the ceremony.
  • Dinner reservations at selected restaurants up to 30 guests. If you have more guests, a private function can be purchased.
  • Depending on photography package chosen, it may take up to 3 weeks to receive. If the couple purchases one of the photography packages, the onsite photographers will be able to provide a CD with your images.
  • Upon check-in couples are required to proceed towards the Honeymoon desk in order to reconfirm their honeymoon package amenities.
  • No personal checks will be accepted at the resort.
  • Additional charge will apply for extra chairs and linens.
  • All items will be non-refundable if cancelled 30 days prior to ceremony. 
     

 DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CIVIL/LEGAL CEREMONIES

  • Home address and occupations of the Bride and Groom
  • Declaration of Single Status (Provided by the Dominican Consulate Office in the country/state you currently reside in)
  • Certified copy of birth certificate (Provided by your Country's Government)
  • Translation of all your documents (Provided by the Dominican Consulate Office in the country/state you currently reside in)
  • Valid Passports
  • Certified copy of former spouse's Death Certificate (if applicable)*
  • If divorced, a certified copy of Divorce Decree is required. If divorced more than once, please bring each Divorce Decree.
  • Name, age, nationality, home address, occupation and passport of 2 witnesses. Witnesses must arrive two (2) business days (Monday - Friday) prior to ceremony. Witnesses must be 18 years or older. If witnesses are not available. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana will provide them at no additional cost.
  • Upon arrival, the government of Punta Cana charges a fee at customs in the airport. Please contact your travel provider for further details.
  • Bride and Groom must arrive at the resort at least three (3) business days (Monday - Friday) prior to the wedding ceremony to meet with the wedding planner and submit all documents. Bride & Groom must be at the resort by noon (12:00 PM) or earlier in order to consider day of arrival as the first day.
  • The Bride & Groom must not be legally married in order to qualify for our civil ceremony. If they are already married, only a Symbolic wedding or Vow Renewal ceremony can be performed.
  • IMPORTANT- If the Bride & Groom's nationality is Dominican, additional documents are required. Please advise your wedding coordinator. Names on Green Card, Divorce Decree and Passport MUST be the same, including spelling.
  • Copy of all your documents must be sent to your onsite planner at least one (1) month prior to arrival for verification. It is the couple's responsibility to submit a copy of all documents to the onsite planner.
  • If divorced less than six months, the legal ceremony cannot be performed. Symbolic ceremonies are available.

All documentation must be translated into Spanish by the Dominican Consulate office from your country/state of residency. You MUST bring the translated documents; we are not able to translate them at the resort. All translations must have original seal provided by the Dominican Consulate Office.

Please note that Birth Certificates, Divorce Decrees, Death Certificates, adoption and name change documents become the property of the Province of La Alta Gracia, Punta Cana if certified copies are not provided.

A Marriage Certificate is provided by the Province of La Alta Gracia, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for civil ceremonies, this is a legal document issued in Spanish. All wedding couples must contact their local court house for filing requirements. Every state/country is different when it comes to filing of foreign marriage documents. Some states/countries require the certificates to be translated from Spanish to English, others may require additional paper work to be filed. This is the couples’ responsibility and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is not liable for any additional charges that may be associated according to the state/country’s requirements on supplmentary paperwork. The marriage certificate will be mailed to the couples directly using the address provided onsite. Due to the civil ceremony processes in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic the certificate can take up to 2 months to be shipped and a mandatory fee of $69.00 USD will apply.

Ceremony cannot be performed unless all documents are in order. (NO EXCEPTIONS). All documents with the exception of passports become the property of the Province of La Alta Gracia, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. All wedding documents must be accompanies with an Apostille.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CATHOLIC CEREMONIES

  • Certified copy of Birth Certificates of Bride & Groom
  • Certified copy of Certificate of Baptism of Bride & Groom
  • *Copy of Passport of Bride & Groom
  • *Copy of witnesses' passport
  • Name of parents and witnesses
  • Home Address and occupation of Bride & Groom, parents and witnesses
  • Declaration of single status of Bride & Groom
  • All Pre-Cana requirements and classes must be completed by the couple
  • Couples must make arrangements at least six (6) months prior to the date of marriage and meet all sacramental requirements.
  • All Catholic Ceremonies have a $500.00 USD Catholic administrative fee.
  • The Catholic Church makes certain requests of the Bride & Groom to help the couples with their spiritual preparation. There is no uniform set of rules for all Catholic Wedding preparations. Therefore, please check with your local parish priest to find out what your dioceses requires for Catholic Weddings.
  • Once all requirements have been completed, your local church will provide you with a completion letter that must be presented at the resort.
  • IMPORTANT: The priest has final say on granting official permission for the wedding to move forward after seeing the paperwork. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino does not have authority over religious regulations. (NO EXCEPTIONS).
  • Bride and Groom must arrive at the resort at least three (3) working days (Monday - Friday) prior to the wedding ceremony to meet with the wedding coordinator and submit all documents. Bride & Groom must be at the resort by (12:00PM) or earlier in order to consider day of arrival as the first day.
  • All documents become the property of the San Dionisio Catholic Church.

THE ABOVE REFERS TO A COUPLE THAT HAS NEVER BEEN MARRIED. IF YOU HAVE BEEN DIVORCED AND YOUR MARRIAGE WAS NOT OFFICIALLY ANNULLED, YOU CANNOT MARRY IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.

  • All documents including certificate of baptism, declaration of single status and Pre-Cana completion letter must be provided by your local bishop.
  • *If Bride & Groom or witnesses are Dominican, a copy of the Cedula must be presented*
  • If Bride & Groom are Dominican and wish to be married by a church other than the one they belong to, a special permit must be provided by their church in order to proceed with the ceremony.
  • Reservations should be made at least six (6) months in advance to guarantee preferred wedding date. Please not wedding ceremonies must be confirmed with the Priest and are subject to his availability. Catholic weddings are performed Monday through Saturday only.
  • All couples must send their documents three (3) months prior to their wedding date to the Catholic Church. The documents must be scanned and emailed to cath-wedding-dom@hotmail.com

  • Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
  • Bride & Groom must arrive in Punta Cana at least two (2) business days (Monday - Friday) prior to the wedding ceremony to meet with the wedding planner and submit all documents. Bride & Grooms must be at the resort by 12:00 PM or earlier in order to consider day of arrival as first day.
